VeriForo AntiBot Protocol: Keeping Our Community Human

At VeriForo, one of our primary goals is to create a bot-free environment where authentic voices are valued. As bots evolve, we continually adapt our defenses, relying on advanced tools and community input to keep our forum clean. Here’s how we ensure only real humans participate:

  • We charge a small registration fee, processed through trusted payment methods that required identity verification. This ensures that all users are real people with verifiable financial identities.
  • No prepaid cards allowed because they are not ID verified.
  • Any payment method can only be used to create 1 account to avoid mass creation of the same user.

To prevent account sharing spamming and other misuse, users can only log in from one device at a time. This helps ensure that accounts remain tied to real individuals, reducing the risk of bot control.

We employ Google reCAPTCHA during registration and login to detect and block bots attempting to access the forum.

Reported posts are flagged for review. Our community-driven reputation system helps us identify suspicious or bot-like behavior quickly, so we can take action when needed.

We require all users to verify their email addresses, helping confirm that they have access to a valid, working email account. While not foolproof, this adds an additional layer of protection.

  • Our system enforces strict login attempt limits:
  • 3 failed login attempts trigger a 15-minute lockout.
  • After 3 lockouts, the account is blocked from logging in for 24 hours. This prevents brute-force login attempts by bots and adds a deterrent for unauthorized access.

We maintain a list of trusted IP addresses and monitor suspicious or high-risk IP ranges. If activity from certain IP addresses is flagged, those users may be subject to additional verification.

We leverage Akismet and other AI-powered tools to help detect and filter out spammy or bot-generated content in real time.

Our moderation team monitors the forum for bot behavior. Suspicious accounts, posts, or interactions are reviewed manually to ensure that all users are legitimate.

We know bots are constantly evolving, and that’s why we also depend on our community to stay ahead. If you encounter suspicious activity or have ideas to improve our system, please let us know by sharing feedback or reporting bots immediately.

At VeriForo, we are committed to constant improvement. We review our anti-bot measures regularly and update them based on new challenges and user suggestions. Together, we can keep our forum free of bots and ensure that every post comes from a real human.
